[Ken, wearing a blue apron, is standing in what appears to be the stockroom of Nectar.]

[He hesitates for a moment, gazing around himself apprehensively, clearly worried he might be overheard. When he turns back to the screen, he closes his eyes briefly and takes a deep breath, as if steeling himself for something.]

What would it take to make you decide you couldn't be yourself any more?

Yeah, but I don't think he wants to talk about it. Why he's doing it, I mean. I don't really blame him but I'm still... I'm just worried. You know?

Do you think something happened to him? Something might've if he's acting differently.

I... well, he said something made me think it must have done, but I don't think it was anything happened while he was here. I'm pretty sure it was something from back home.

[He hesitates for a minute. Time to be stupid again.]

I think it's something hasn't happened to me yet.

I know this happens in Somarium, but do you think Omi-san is from another time?

They all are.

I mean, everyone I knew before is. I don't really get how, but... It sounds crazy. They're all from the future. Some of them-- they're years older than they should be. Omi's two years younger than me but he's my age. The one who's here, I mean. And Youji's four years older than he's meant to be. It's weird.

That's kinda normal here, Ken-san. I had friends arrive here without knowing what happened to us a couple of months back.

[She tries to smile for him, shaking her head as she did so.]

Seriously. I'm pretty sure whatever's gonna happen, it can't be as bad as what they got me imagining.

[He sighs, manages to smile back, then surprises himself by laughing slightly.]

I know that there are some abandoned cars and bikes around Somni. Maybe if there's fuel in it, you could just take it, right?

I'd have to get one first, but... yeah. yeah, that could be fun.
