[He hesitates for a moment, gazing around himself apprehensively, clearly worried he might be overheard. When he turns back to the screen, he closes his eyes briefly and takes a deep breath, as if steeling himself for something.]

What would it take to make you decide you couldn't be yourself any more?

That's kinda normal here, Ken-san. I had friends arrive here without knowing what happened to us a couple of months back.

I guess they've got their reasons not to. It's kinda worrying. I mean I'm pretty sure I'm not dead or anything but-- Yeah. It's not looking good.

[She tries to smile for him, shaking her head as she did so.]

Seriously. I'm pretty sure whatever's gonna happen, it can't be as bad as what they got me imagining.

[He sighs, manages to smile back, then surprises himself by laughing slightly.]

There's lots of other things too. Like... I got a motorbike at home, I like that. Kinda miss it, actually. Do you know if there's anywhere round here has stuff like that?

I know that there are some abandoned cars and bikes around Somni. Maybe if there's fuel in it, you could just take it, right?

[Well, he kinda walked into that one - though Ken can't actually claim to mind this that much. He catches himself smiling. He can't say he'd mind that idea at all...]

I'd have to get one first, but... yeah. yeah, that could be fun.

[He hesitates a little before adding:]

... and you know I never thought about it that way before? I guess it just feels kinda different with something big like a bike than it does when I'm looking for groceries.

I didn't even think of it until now! But they're just lying around anyway so I guess no one would mind, right?

And... well, I suppose not. I guess if anyone wanted to use my bike and I couldn't any more I'd be happy just as long as they looked after it, so... yeah, I guess I'll go looking when it's not so hot!
