Video 06 → I think I broke something.

Huh.

[Ken stands in his living room holding the Dreamberry. He checks it's recording, then sets it on the arm of the couch. He picks up a small hi-bounce ball and throws it overarm against the living-room wall. It bounces off; he catches it in his palm. He repeats the process a couple more times just to be sure, then pockets the ball and picks up the Dreamberry again.]

Okay. Okay.

[He walks up to the wall. Taps it. Leans against it. Scrapes at the paint with a fingernail. Sticks his hand through it. Takes it out. Looks at it. Looks at the wall. Repeats the process a couple more times then - clearly bracing himself - walks forward.

[For a moment the recording goes black. When the screen flickers back into life, it's to give everybody at home a good view of the corridor outside his apartment.]

Is anybody else having problems with their walls?

Yeah... guess there are way worse ways to find out and at least this way I didn't kill myself on the towel rail or anything. Still, damn good thing I didn't record that, huh?

[She lets out another laugh, this one a little louder than the last.] I don't think you'd ever be able to live that one down.

Seriously! All this stuff that's happened since I got here and I've killed myself or something taking a shower? Geez, I've got enough stick over that damn dream...

At least this way I'm not dead on the floor. Still... [and he swipes his hand through the wall again] it's a bit weird, huh? You noticed anything like this where you are?

[She watches as his hand goes through the wall one more time.] I haven't noticed anything up here. Do you think it's because of the moon again? It's been looking kinda weird recently.

Yeah. Of all the ways this place coulda killed me, that wouldn't have been one I'd have hit on.

Well, that's something. [If it's not just that Rise hasn't noticed anything yet, but Ken doesn't think that far ahead.] But I think you're right. This place always goes nuts at full moon, maybe this is just how it's goin' nuts this month. Guess we'll know for sure in a week or so, right?

I don't really mind if I can't do something like that. At least it isn't so bad this time, huh? For all you know, the week will just fly by.

Yeah, as weird s... [Whoops. Watch your language, Hidaka!] stuff goes this is way less annoying than a whole lotta the things've happened here before. Guess it could be kinda fun for a bit...

Kinda a shame I can't fly or anything cool like that, though.

[She wouldn't have minded. Yosuke and Kanji cursed pretty bad anyway. And she saw them almost everyday in school.]

Uh-huh! It's pretty tame this time compared to what usually happens.

[There's a small laugh that escapes her mouth at the last thing he says.] I'd think this is better than fly actually. What if whatever this all is wears off and you're in mid-flight? That can't be good.

Totally. I'm just waitin' for the whole damn city to vanish in a puff of smoke or something. It's like... is this it? Guess I'm getting off kinda light though. At least I ain't like... like...

[Wait, what kind of superpowers are there? There's Batman, but he doesn't have any, does he? And Superman's an alien so he doesn't really count, and who knows what Wolverine's deal is--]

... like the Incredible Hulk or something, yeah. That'd suck.

And yeah, you're totally right abiut the flying thing. That'd be real bad. You know, I better not be goin' through any walls or anythin' when we all change back, too. That'd probably be... [messy?] Awkward.

[She only knows what he's talking about because of the guys she hung out with. Otherwise all of those trivia about superheroes and their powers would've gone right over her head.]

Turning all huge and green and breaking stuff? That really would suck.

I guess the only way to be sure of that is to count the days and stop when it's almost the end, huh? That way you won't... [There's a pause. She's not sure what would getting stuck in between walls would end up. And awkward was a light way of putting it.] Well, so you won't end up half and half somewhere.

Well, this stuff normally lasts about a week, right? I figure as long as I make sure to start usin' doors and stuff after the weekend, I should be okay.

[OOC: I AM SO SORRY. I had a busy few days and then came down with the Lurgi. Again.]

Yup, a week sounds about right. Guess that gives you enough time to enjoy that for at least a little while.
