Video 06 → I think I broke something.

Huh.

[Ken stands in his living room holding the Dreamberry. He checks it's recording, then sets it on the arm of the couch. He picks up a small hi-bounce ball and throws it overarm against the living-room wall. It bounces off; he catches it in his palm. He repeats the process a couple more times just to be sure, then pockets the ball and picks up the Dreamberry again.]

Okay. Okay.

[He walks up to the wall. Taps it. Leans against it. Scrapes at the paint with a fingernail. Sticks his hand through it. Takes it out. Looks at it. Looks at the wall. Repeats the process a couple more times then - clearly bracing himself - walks forward.

[For a moment the recording goes black. When the screen flickers back into life, it's to give everybody at home a good view of the corridor outside his apartment.]

Is anybody else having problems with their walls?

[Ken hesitates. He hasn't actually thought that hard about it. Falling through the bathroom wall when he slipped getting out of the shower had been about the limit of his experience before he'd started experimenting with other walls. After putting some pants on, anyway.]

I dunno. I haven't tried yet. You think I'd be able to go through other stuff?

Yes, I have and I don't like. I already had powers when I got here. I had the ability to be everywhere and nowhere [grim look] but now...I can't use them and I feeling extremely tired. It's the opposite of you.

[Ken sticks his hand through the corridor wall again and waves it about a bit before he realizes that's pointless and she can't actually see it. He grins, takes his arm out, and rubs at the back of his neck.]

It's kinda like that. Been like this all morning. First I thought it was the walls but I'm starting to think it might be me. Kinda weird, huh?

How'd you figure that out though? [She's surprised to say the least, but this place just had a knack of keeping things on the weird end of the normal scale.]

Well, that's something. [If it's not just that Rise hasn't noticed anything yet, but Ken doesn't think that far ahead.] But I think you're right. This place always goes nuts at full moon, maybe this is just how it's goin' nuts this month. Guess we'll know for sure in a week or so, right?

I guess the only way to be sure of that is to count the days and stop when it's almost the end, huh? That way you won't... [There's a pause. She's not sure what would getting stuck in between walls would end up. And awkward was a light way of putting it.] Well, so you won't end up half and half somewhere.

Well, this stuff normally lasts about a week, right? I figure as long as I make sure to start usin' doors and stuff after the weekend, I should be okay.
