[This is supposed to be filtered from Youji and Loki. It's not.]

[Ken is in his bedroom. The room is dark save for the light provided by a desk lamp, and he sits cross-legged on the bed dressed in an oversized sweater and jeans. Despite the heavy clothing and the hunched posture it's quite obvious that something is off, and it's not just the bruises and band-aids.]

Um. This happens a lot, right? And it wears off?

['This' being the bit where Ken is quite clearly a girl, and nobody's yet told her there are limits to the sins an oversized sweater can disguise. Clearly the bruises aren't the half of it. As to exactly how this happened, suffice it to say that Ken is not exactly Loki's number one fan right now...

[She looks guiltily about herself for no readily explicable reason, then relaxes.]

... Let me guess: a card?

It's... kinda a long story. Pretty sure there was a card in there somewhere, though.

[She hesitates for a second.]

You mean that bit really wasn't Loki?

[On one hand, Dominic's kind of pissed at Loki for everything. On the other hand, he's relieved that Loki didn't kill Ken (which probably meant that he was just trying to mess with Dominic, which serves to annoy him further).]

No, there are cards here that can do strange things to people. Turning into a girl is just one of the possible effects.

Oh. Well... that explains what all that was about, then.

[She looks relieved. At least if it's Somarium throwing another curveball at him, it means she doesn't have to go find Loki again and get him to change her back. Which she somehow doubts she could at that.]

[Ken slumps back onto the bed, ending up rather more horizontal than previous. She's still feeling pretty dizzy and sore, and lying down helps.]

Told me he'd messed with Omi, basically acted like he was gonna kill him if I didn't get over there yesterday. Turned out Omi wasn't there, he beat the crap out of me and iced over his living room so I had to sit there freezing my ass off until Sena showed up. Somewhere in the middle of all that there was a card involved.

[Another hesitation. Ken sighs.]

He's a dick, isn't he?
